HAVE DEBATE...WILL TRAVEL (I GUESS)

It's always interesting to find out what others think about you. Entertaining, yes; infuriating, occasionally; surprising, always. I've long been amused to find out others' opinions concerning me, especially when they don't know me too well. I had such an experience within the last few days. After the debate I had on the AD 70 doctrine, apparently there was a "review" of the debate by someone who advocates that view. From what I was told by the friend who watched it, the reviewer called me a "professional debater." I actually had a good belly laugh when he told me that. In my lifetime, I have had a grand total of 4 debates...and one of those (the first one) was in high school! The other three have been in 2011, 2016, and 2017. My opponents in those three debates have engaged in written and oral debates since the early 1990s; in fact, one of them has even appeared on CNN! And yet, I'm a "professional?" I guess I now can co-op the title

A BUSY, BUSY SUMMER

I don't know about you, but my summer thus far has been hectic. Well, let me clarify that. The six months since we have moved to Montgomery have been hectic. I'm not complaining, mind you; it's all good. (Except for when I was in New Jersey on a speaking trip, and Brenda was at home in sepsis...and I couldn't get a flight back. But, that's another story for another time.) Time management has never been a top skill of mine, but I'm learning quickly. In between the work at Eastern Meadows, my work at Faulkner, and extra speaking, it can get quite busy. But then, aren't we all busy people? I hope so. If you're busy, it means you likely are staying out of trouble...and, you are being productive. So, let's all be BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!!
Just a quick rant: Why is it that some make assumptions about the beliefs of many? That is to say, those who fall to the Left of center on biblical issues assume that those to the right of them are constantly condemning people to Hell and standing as judge; while those who fall to the Right of center on biblical issues assume that those to the left of them stand for nothing and accept everyone.  Why can't we just let the Bible speak, and leave the judgment in God's hands? Hi there! This is my new blog. It's a bit different from the last one...you know, the one I didn't hardly use? Right. Anyway, I plan to do a little more here. Be watching for musings from me on a number of issues. Feel free to reply! Now, if I could just figure out how to USE this thing... dh
